Clint Eastwood, famous Hollywood star known for his role as Dirty Harry, the rogue cop, denied last week that he would play the role again in any future films.
Eastwood was at a news conference in Cannes for the premiere of his missing-child drama, “Changeling”, along with fellow star, Angelina Jolie, of ‘Tomb Raider’ fame.
When Jolie joked that she might be interested in the role, Eastwood said, “Dirty Harriet and the `Tomb Raider' will play it.''
Eastwood, who turned 78 on May 31, went on to add that ``Dirty Harry would not be on the police department at my age, so we'll move on from that.'' ”Whatever reaction it had, it was great fun at that time,” Eastwood said. “It was a fantasy role. You point a .44 Magnum at someone and say, ‘Do you feel lucky?’”
