The recently finished ‘Victorian style’ casetas built along the Malecon’s beach are now open for business. Interestingly, each caseta is split into four (very small) bars, so drinkers wishing to go on a bar crawl need only shuffle a couple of feet over to the next bar.
The one thing lacking from these new bars is toilet facilities – there are none whatsoever!
We’re not sure what the government had in mind for drinkers who require the use of a bathroom during the evening, but no points for guessing where many are choosing to relieve themselves.
