New Dominican film Santi Clo
Following on from ‘Sanky Panky’, Dominican director José Pintor has a new movie entitled, ‘Santi Clo’, scheduled for release in November in cinemas across the country.
Not just another Christmas Santa Clause movie, ‘Santi Clo’ is the story of a young Dominican man living in the barrios who loses his job just before Christmas. When his wife leaves him, taking their daughter, all seems bleak, until his friend helps him get a job as Santa Clause, setting him on a life-changing adventure.
"Santi Clo is an entertaining and funny story of love and overcoming that happens during the Christmas period, in the tone of popular comedy, but with large brush strokes of the tragedy and everyday family happenings when Dominicans tend to turn on the black humor that helps us carry on the heavy burden of daily living," says Franklin Romero, Executive Producer.
He continues, "It's a movie for the whole family, children are going to entertain a lot, is seasonal, for Christmas, and it's a comic movie.... In which the public will not stop laughing with the occurrences and reactions of the actors .... The script is very good.”
